Probation Violations
If you were given the privilege of being on probation after a conviction, violating your probation can land you back in jail. If you go back to jail on a probation violation warrant, it is likely you will sit in custody until the violation is resolved. Whether you failed to report to probation as directed, failed a drug screen, or committed a new misdemeanor or felony offense, probation can violate you. The severity of punishment for the violation will depend on how many prior violations you have and how egregious the violation itself is.
